Originally starting with a small facility and just five employees, the company has grown significantly in both size and capabilities over the decades. By 1974, Almet had constructed several fully enclosed bays outfitted with crane ways and expanded its workforce to 52. The company continued to evolve, and by 1988, it expanded its premises to accommodate a dedicated engineering department, increasing its staff to 76.
Over the years, Almet has successfully completed over 35,000 projects, demonstrating their ability to handle complex and custom steel fabrication tasks. With a strong commitment to quality and precision, they utilize advanced technology, including an 8' x 30' high-definition plasma burn table, which allows them to produce components in-house ensuring critical accuracy and timely delivery.
As a testament to their dedication to excellence, Almet holds multiple awards and has maintained AISC certification, showcasing their high standards in steelwork. The company has developed a reputation for its ability to manage large-scale projects, having completed some of their most substantial work exceeding 5,500 tons in weight.
