Description

CMC Rock, LLC is a prominent subsidiary of Construction Materials Company, established in 2006. The company emerged from the acquisition of aggregate assets of Z Rock and Tru Crushing, which had been actively producing aggregates in Utah since the early 1970s. Within a short span, CMC Rock became one of Utah's largest aggregate producers, supplying materials for some of the state's most significant construction projects. Notably, from 2006 to 2010, CMC Rock provided essential aggregates for various state transportation initiatives, such as the UTA’s Salt Lake to Provo Frontrunner and the West Valley Light Rail expansion, as well as critical UDOT infrastructure projects including the Mountain View Corridor and I-15/11400 South Interchange. The company also contributed to major federal projects, exemplified by its involvement in the NSA’s Utah Data Center and the Murdock Canal Enclosure.

Currently, CMC Rock manages over 3,500 acres of aggregate properties, with two primary operating locations situated in Utah County—South Pelican Point and West Mountain. These sites are strategically located to facilitate efficient distribution of materials across the region, particularly along major transportation routes. The South Pelican Point site lies along Highway 68, while the West Mountain facility was instrumental during UDOT’s I-15 Core Project. CMC Rock is dedicated to providing high-quality construction materials that meet the demands of modern construction, ensuring its continued role as a vital player in Utah's growth and development.
