Initially known as Home Building and Supply Company, Inc., it was established by Charles S. Rush, an Auburn University architecture graduate. (Vandy) Harper, HBS expanded its focus from residential builds to encompass a range of commercial, industrial, and custom residential projects.

In 2001, the company was acquired by Wesley W. Wingard and Kerry Sayers, who enhanced its project portfolio for 17 years before Blake Ingram took over as Owner and President in 2018. With over 23 years of experience in the construction field, Blake has been instrumental in fostering relationships with architects, engineers, and clients, ensuring that every project aligns with their goals and constraints.
