Jordan-Wilcomb Construction, Inc. is recognized as Idaho’s oldest construction company still in operation today, having been active since 1910 when Boise began issuing building permits. The firm initially focused on single-family residences, but shifted to commercial projects starting in 1924 with the construction of St. Joseph School on Fort Street in Boise. The company was founded by J.O. Jordan and his son, J. Cecil Jordan, under the name J.O. Jordan Construction, later becoming Jordan & Son Construction. The firm was renamed Jordan-Wilcomb Company in 1948 with the addition of partners J. Richard Jordan and Richard P. Wilcomb. Over the decades, the company underwent several structural changes and expansions of ownership, with key family members involved through various generations, solidifying its legacy within the community.
Primarily engaged in commercial construction, Jordan-Wilcomb Construction, Inc. has completed thousands of projects throughout southern Idaho, demonstrating its enduring presence in the industry.
