Living Iron Steel Works is a custom metal fabrication shop located in Sonora, California, established in 1998 by Jonathan Weldon. The origins of the company date back to when it was originally known as Weldon-Wilson Ornamental Iron, serving the Ventura County area. After a brief enlistment in the Marine Corps, Jonathan returned home in 2006 and transitioned the business to Living Iron, operating from his grandparents' garage. In 2007, Clinton Ainsworth took over the reins and relocated the business to its current downtown location.
Under Clinton's leadership, Living Iron has expanded its offerings, innovating from functional artwork into a broad range of projects—including significant commercial work and bespoke residential designs. The shop prides itself on crafting high-quality metalwork solutions tailored to the unique needs of clients, whether for large-scale projects or smaller custom pieces in residential settings.
