Founded in 1950 by Ralph L. Presley, Presley Electric Company, Inc. has grown from its humble beginnings as a small appliance repair service in East Point, Georgia, into a reputable commercial electrical contractor serving a broad range of industries. Initially focused on residential electrical installations, the company gradually shifted towards commercial and industrial work, establishing a strong presence in the market. With a vision to grow, the company expanded its operations and developed long-lasting relationships with key partners including major retailers such as Macy's, Bloomingdales, JC Penney, and Saks Fifth Avenue.
Under the subsequent ownership of William H. Barnett and Gerald W. Barnett, Sr. in 1968, Presley Electric significantly increased its focus on new construction and renovation projects for big box retailers and hospitality venues. The company continuously adapted to the evolving market needs, and in 2001 it was acquired by cousins Chris Barnett and Jerry Barnett, who had longstanding ties to the organization. They undertook strategic expansions, opening a branch in Florida and subsequently growing the workforce to meet various project demands across multiple states, including Georgia, Alabama, and North Carolina.
In 2012, to accommodate significant growth, the company relocated its headquarters to a larger facility in Palmetto, Georgia. Today, Presley Electric is not only recognized for its skilled workforce but also for its commitment to customer satisfaction, consistently delivering projects on time and within budget. As a member of the Independent Electrical Contractors Association for over 20 years, the company prides itself on professionalism, dedication, and the trust it has built with clients over decades of service. With a bright future ahead, Presley Electric continues to power the Southeast, offering quality electrical services across diverse sectors including retail, automotive centers, and health & fitness clubs.
