Founded in 1961, Terese’s Top Works, Inc. has established itself as a pillar in the laminate and post-form countertop industry in New Orleans. Originating from a modest start in the founder Sal Terese's backyard, the company has evolved remarkably over the years. Initially focused on producing post-formed tops for personal use, the business expanded into wholesale operations by leveraging an innovative Evans Easy form post forming machine purchased in 1963. As demand grew, Terese's Top Works incorporated professional installation services, developed a dedicated sales team, and began supplying local countertop and cabinet shops.
The company flourished through the late 20th century, adapting to changing market dynamics by incorporating various laminate brands such as Micarta, Consoweld, and Wilsonart. The introduction of high-volume machinery further propelled production capacity, enabling Terese’s Top Works to deliver over 200 tops daily. Following the devastating impact of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, the company temporarily relocated but remained steadfast in its commitment to excellent service and high-quality products. By November 2015, Terese’s Top Works reopened its doors and resumed operations at their original location.
Over the decades, Terese’s Top Works has continually adapted to industry advancements, introducing new product lines, including solid surface materials and real wood butcher block countertops. The company is known for exceptional customer service, customizable solutions, and a comprehensive range of products, including countertops, cabinets, tools, and accessories. Today, under the careful stewardship of the Terese family, Terese’s Top Works continues its legacy, serving both commercial and residential customers with dedication to quality and innovation.
